Employment History

Associate Director, USC College Office of Admission (2009-present)

  • Analyze admission data, organize data collection and maintenance, and forecast enrollment
  • Facilitate Baccalaureate/MD program for the USC College, which combines undergraduate admission with entrance into medical school
  • Manage website content and oversee virtual communication efforts

Facilitator, Asian Pacific American Student Services (2009-present)

  • Work with “Critical Issues in Race, Class, Leadership, and Education,” to teach USC undergraduates about Asian American Issues
  • Oversaw weekly discussion sections and encouraged discussion
  • Provided outside context for assigned materials and ensured student comprehension

Senior Associate Director, USC Office of Undergraduate Admission (2005-2009)

  • Coordinate university-wide merit-based scholarship award process
  • Oversee alumni recruitment and manage alumni relations
  • Completed an internal study to reevaluate measures for academic assessment of applicants
  • Responsible for recruitment and review of freshman and transfer applicants

Other Experience

  • Involvement with USC’s Center for Higher Education Policy Analysis’ Pathfinder, a project to develop college-going skills
  • Volunteering with 826LA, a branch of 826 National, for three years to teach writing skills to youth. Projects include college essay workshops and sessions designed to increase the expression of creativity and voice.
